There's not enough four armed robots in my life. It's a playground I think I'd like to do more in! Did this quickie during Church.

Sketch-Trades & Midnight Portraits
Happy Holidays the internet! Hope you got to hang with some family and found some delicious foods! I haven't posted much as of late so here's a tide-you-over for a bit. I did a few sketch trades for some friends earlier this year. They're all about 4x6in, and just for fun! Hopefully they'll man up soon and give me some trades in return, I'm talking to you Paul Kwon! :)
And I also did another midnight portrait to boot. More fresh draws commin soon!

Twisted Treeline Spider - League of Legends
Heya everyone. The new twisted treeline came out today with a spider boss I worked on with the team here at Riot, so I figured I'd show you guys my part in it.
These were my rouph explorations before we knew what we wanted.
This was the final sketch after picking a solid visual direction
This was my final painting of the creature and it's production spread.
Originally the spider's abdomen was going to trail off into and around the environmental as an endless stream of spider eggs and webbing. We had to scale back our expectations a bit after several iterations on the actual enviorment we'd see the giant spider in. The color pallet also changed after I was done because of more changes to the enviorment's theme and tone. In the end I liked what ended up in the game, but I definatly felt like I needed to push the color pallet of the creature far more on my end even if it was going to radically change later. Mostly I was excited about the idea of making the webbing poisonous and luminescent and based a lot of my color pallet around that idea.
Here's a shot from the Twisted Treeline Map that just went live today!

League of Legends - Kha'zix
Heya the intertubes! A small break from the Darksiders content for a bit. Recently Riot released the first champion for League of Legends that I've had a part in, as such I can finally share some of my concept work for him! woo! Alot of artists had worked on previous iterations trying to figure out what the team wanted out of a praying mantis like assassin champ. My explorations were minimal since there was a clear idea about what the hoped to see out of a character like this. However he did change substantially mid development, which is not abnormal, due to tech restraints and origin story edits.
First Pass Final
Model Paintovers of unevolved state
Here's a shot of how he ended up looking in the game. Here's also a link to the release page for more info.
